50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #1
And we are off. It is the start. It is 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #1. Mary, Amy, Jude and I only for this trip, with Ollie staying back for school and so BeBe remains too. Up early for an 0820 flight, which is great as that lands midday – so the whole after noon spent having fun. We’re alone today but then being joined by mates from all over the world – literally. Lucky boy I am indeed. Well when I say boy, I mean, fat, grey-haired, old bloke. Can’t way to see you all soon guys – Day #2 to come with you in it.

You know you are entering paradise, when you look out the window of the plane and see this… Remind me again why we just bought a house and plan to retire here….
Now here we are at the hotel – Movenpick on Mactan, bloody nice family suite as we’ll have Jhea and Jimboy come stay too. Lovely people too at the hotel, amazing in fact.
That’s not a bad place is it. Loving this hotel!

Time to crack in to my first local San Miguel, this is heavenly. Even one of the ladies in the restaurant for lunch saw that Jude liked dinosaurs and went off to get him two more. WOW! That’s service. Be proud #Movenpick
They were busting. So kids and wifey get in the pool first, sadly I had a few bits of work to crack on with. All done soon and then I was in with them!
Now that is not bad is it. Stunning pool area. Wait until you see it at night time. All those seats are actually lights! Oh Yes!!!
Off to Ibiza we go for our first dinner at the hotel. You want to see this place lit up and night – it’s bonkers good!!! Uber cool, and you don’t even need an Uber to get to it!

I love listening to Kyogo on YouTube. Chillax music, Ibiza style. That is exactly what is being played here, even the videos on the screens are the same. I am in heaven – but wait a minute there’s a surprise in store.
We’re celebrating come on let’s be having some foie gras with balsamic reduction – hell yes!
Aged Jamon with pickles. Yep we’ve gone Tapas. But they also do a carvery – Latam style where the guys keeps walking round carving off hunks of chargrilled meat – hmmm wonder what we should eat tonight….????

And off we go home. My gorgeous girls, ready to hit the sack. And we surely did that – talk about relaxed – bed at 2130 and woke 0930 today – OMG super relaxed!!!
