A quick work trip to Japan
Very sadly I had literally no time to meet up with Mizuyo and Yuko this trip, due to back to back client meetings and dinners in the evenings, a later arrival and a very early departure. It was monster, hence me calling this A quick work trip to Japan.
So many meetings it was nuts. I calculated that I met 50 new client contacts in 3 days, can you believe it. You could almost call that speed-dating. But in between we did manage to squeeze in some things, like eating. Here’s some snaps.

I landed at midnight and was desperate for a pee. I noticed a build up of people so thought lets have a look. It was the Japanese Rugby Team home from the Singapore 7’s. How cool was that to meet these guys!

Only in Japan tight – heated toilet seats, and even PJ’s for you on the bed. I VERY much doubt they fit this fat f*cker though?

Sadly I missed the blossom yet again, one rain storm on my arrival night put that to rest. But one tree survived outside the temple on the way to work. How beautiful lis that, with a wee sneak of Tokyo Tower in the background too.

Here comes some food now – this is at a Yakatori restaurant and is chicken bone. Yep that’s what I said. It’s actually sift and tastes really like KFC, damned good!

Check this out. Japanese omelette. The sauce characters on top is the name of the restaurant – seriously how cool is that.

In the finance CBD next day around lunch time I noticed these – street food carts. Loads of them. How bloody is that. Perhaps Rutherford and I should move to Japan and set up ChillaxBBQ.

My lunch this day was Udon, and because of the slurpy nature of the sauce everyone wears these bibs – quite fectching I think!

A few beers after our last client meeting to debrief, but out comes more food. These guys are always eating – but this one I am so so glad they did order. Its a soft goat cheese (I think) slathered in a sticky miso and wasabi sauce. This is OMG good!!!

I think I’ll wash that down with a green beer. Yep it is green tea (Macha) beer. Maybe not top of my list for a repeat experience.

Steve and I go exploring in Azabujuban. We were OK getting there but trying saying that after a few beers to get a taxi home. We had a real giggle at some English pub in the middle of the suburbs.
