Well before we get to “The Great Escape” – tunnelling from where we live, digging a tunnel in a u-turn to get back in. Ha Ha! I’ll cover a few other little snippets of fun. For those that know, you know what I am talking about – for those that don’t sorry – I’ll explainRead More

We have found a new prawn fishing place that is just SUPERB. Just down the road from us at Big Splash, on East Coast Service Road for those in Singapore. For those not in Singapore, its like 10 minutes down the road. It’s a good one as it has prawn fishing for Mary and I.Read More

What’s this? Have we moved a Singaporean hawker food court to Tankerton, Kent? Is that Vikki Edmonds I espy? Yes indeed, she came to Singapore for 4 days or so to spend some time with Eddo, as he had extended his work trip.  Very sad in that last day is tomorrow 5th. I think AmyRead More

So Mr Edmonds happens to be in Singapore for work. Let’s some fun together over the weekend then. Well half day Saturday, Saturday night, sleepover and half a day Sunday. But a BELTER of a weekend. Gordon & Thes say goodbye – a happy/sad day

Bit of a strange day really. Great fun having a long lunch with our great mates, truly great mates – but with a sad undertone, as the very lunch we had was to celebrate the departure of Gordon and Thes to Gordon’s new job and new home in Malaysia. So very sad to see themRead More

So Saturday begins. It started slowly for family Kennett lay-ins all over. Then BOOM, the kids turned my bedroom in to “IceWorld” – basically turn the air-conditioner up to FULL and move all pillows and cushions on to the bed?? Daddy off for a haircut means Amy gets her nails done! Hmmmmmm – how doesRead More

[zilla_likes]

Off to Cluney Park we go to celebrate New Year’s Day with the girls. Outdoor activities or sports was the theme of the day, so notice they’re all in joggers and trainers. So of course with that theme the first game for the day is to take a load of elastic bands, knot them together,Read More

She calls our name and we come running, We have lost the voice we listened to, And there's a stillness now the rains stopped falling, And there's a sadness like we never knew, But we still see the shining of things. We love and miss you desperately Ni.

About Brian

I have worked in Telecommunications pretty much all my life, with good fortune to have worked literally across the world with amazing colleagues and clients from Sao Paulo, to Chicago, to LA, to UK, Europe and most recently to South East Asia and Australia.

I love to cook and to write and again for many years now have been writing a food blog, constantly morphing. I have also written a cook book for charitable reasons. I now also write a column for EXMag.sg a men's magazine with a focus on food - recipes and reviews. I do this under the tag-name of Semi-Naked Chef.

I am very focused at charitable work and CSR - having visited Cambodia 6 years running now to build houses on stilts for the less fortunate people there.

I have 3 kids - 2 half-Japanese and 1 half-Filipino.
