First things first a quick dash to the shops to buy some bits and pieces, and also to have lunch – a delicious Pho Boa today. Check out Amy and Ollie. In fact inspect Amy closer. We all said: “What are you Amy, Indian? A hippy?” “No Daddy, I am a Ninja.” Ha Ha Ha Ha – you sooooooooRead More

A walk in our “back garden” after the rain!

December 29, 2012

Yet again another rainy Saturday afternoon – bugger! We’d stayed in in the morning as I needed to “create” another meal for the new cook book (coming on well by the way – and it looks like two recipes will be going in a local magazine with yours truly in Feb’13). I cooked a Japanese BeefRead More

We decided to take a walk after Amy had had her afternoon nap. Go along the river on our side through the “small” Gardens on the Bay, across the Barrage and to the “big” Gardens on the Bay on the other side of the river. It’s a beautiful walk, starting about 520pm or so, soRead More

TEETH – AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

December 26, 2012

So there I was nervous as anything, awaiting the door to open and the dentist to call us in – scary. I hate dentists, I hate hospitals. Today as well was a big day, something special adding to the angst – yes it was Amy’s first official trip to the dentist. So scarily I satRead More

Phew OK here we go – let’s carry on for part II, part deux, part two!  Continuing the meal before the DK/Claire arrived – Amy decides to go Spanish and Balero with rose in mouth, OK no stamping on the floor with cuban heels, but still.     The the rock arrived! We were already gone fromRead More

Another wonderful weekend just gone (last weekend actually). This weekend we did book printing meetings, chilling with Ollie’s mates, shopping for shoes and presents, and then off food court hunting which you will see on my food blog. Sunday was a busy day getting food, then off to play football and then to meet a newRead More

She calls our name and we come running, We have lost the voice we listened to, And there's a stillness now the rains stopped falling, And there's a sadness like we never knew, But we still see the shining of things. We love and miss you desperately Ni.

About Brian

I have worked in Telecommunications pretty much all my life, with good fortune to have worked literally across the world with amazing colleagues and clients from Sao Paulo, to Chicago, to LA, to UK, Europe and most recently to South East Asia and Australia.

I love to cook and to write and again for many years now have been writing a food blog, constantly morphing. I have also written a cook book for charitable reasons. I now also write a column for EXMag.sg a men's magazine with a focus on food - recipes and reviews. I do this under the tag-name of Semi-Naked Chef.

I am very focused at charitable work and CSR - having visited Cambodia 6 years running now to build houses on stilts for the less fortunate people there.

I have 3 kids - 2 half-Japanese and 1 half-Filipino.
