Just too cute

Just too cute  Again another short one from me with the photos speaking for themselves. We went to the new Thai Express restaurant in Kallang Leisure (nice despite being served raw chicken to start), and were messing about with the camera on the table and taking timed photos. Some absolute crackers of Amy came from messing aboutRead More

Cambodia Part 3

December 8, 2011
[zilla_likes]

No excuses here, this is the “play hard” part of the Cambodia experience. A bond develops between you all, no matter what team you are on. You all share the days experience, and chat about it over a beer or two, over dinner, even over a massage. Comparing cuts and bruises, and sharing stories. It’sRead More

WOW is not enough but all I can say!

December 7, 2011
[zilla_likes]

So I have just left the theatre having watched the kids perform the first show – all I can say is WOW. That really does not do justice to what I just saw, witnessed, marveled at, but it literally is all I can say.  13 9-14 year old kids just blew away an audience ofRead More

The day arrives

So here I am sitting in a VERY hot day in Singapore, beer in hand, new Mac Air lap-top on lap (literally), and in a state of PANIC. Today is the day for Ollie’s play, I am nervous, pensive, apprehensive, scared, worried – you name it I am feeling it.  BUT I dop Ollie atRead More

Sunday, November 6, 2011 And now Ogichan visits us                                      A very nice treat for us all is that this time Ogichan visited with Obachan. We only got to see him for a short while though, a major shame for Mary and I. But we took him for a lovely meal at one of our favouritesRead More

She calls our name and we come running, We have lost the voice we listened to, And there's a stillness now the rains stopped falling, And there's a sadness like we never knew, But we still see the shining of things. We love and miss you desperately Ni.

About Brian

I have worked in Telecommunications pretty much all my life, with good fortune to have worked literally across the world with amazing colleagues and clients from Sao Paulo, to Chicago, to LA, to UK, Europe and most recently to South East Asia and Australia.

I love to cook and to write and again for many years now have been writing a food blog, constantly morphing. I have also written a cook book for charitable reasons. I now also write a column for EXMag.sg a men's magazine with a focus on food - recipes and reviews. I do this under the tag-name of Semi-Naked Chef.

I am very focused at charitable work and CSR - having visited Cambodia 6 years running now to build houses on stilts for the less fortunate people there.

I have 3 kids - 2 half-Japanese and 1 half-Filipino.
