Yep we went back.
A few news things to enjoy, also taking Glenda for the first time – I think ever…
However I have tried to do a few different things for you for this excursion there, basically so you are not looking at the same old sameo photos – just with slightly taller children now.
Damn did I just say that and then take the first photo of the spinny globe as per every other trip – yep!
Frankenstein says hi.
That’s him with the suit on, not the blue t-shirt.
Off to NYC and Sesame Street for the new ride – save the spaghetti or something.
Being 45 years old, I had to sit on my own in the back whilst the kids enjoyed the front.
I call that demotion!
Off to the ‘lights, camera. action…’ stage show – well queuing outside at least.
No photographs allowed inside.
But really cool. We got soaked.
A little bit of road works from the kidlets.
Not really wearing the correct safety attire though – I ned to speak to their foreman – “Mary…”
Here go got Transformers ride – a little naughty as again not really allowed photos in here.
But hey, as I said trying to show something different on this blog for you.
It’s a 4D experience – truly amazing, so yes whack on the glasses.
Two things of note;
1 – No Mary and Jude – yep no preggers Mum’s on most if not all the rides – damn!
2 – I think someone should have told Glenda it’s dangerous to Text and Drive – especially when it’s an Autobot!!!
This is what you got to experience, although for you it is blurry.
For us this was crystal clear 3D, with Bumblebee having a fight with a naughty one, who jumps on the bonnet, then fires a missile where you get noise, 3D, heat, explosions, all whilst the car is moving too – it truly does make you feel like you are in the film. Amazing!
What is she doing? Could be a few things;
“Stands like an Egyptian!”
Too much deodorant?
She’s pretending to be French – “I surrender!”
Back to NYC to watch these real cool guys doing street dancing – al la hip hop!!!
I think I got some great snaps of these guys mid movement.
Cool!!!
Looks like he’s just fallen from a building.
Splat!
My little Marilyn Monroe in “The 5 Year Itch.”
Monsters of Rock next for a musical razzle dazzle show.
We love this one.
Every time we go they sing different songs.
Shame pictures painting a thousand words and all that – clearly does not work for songs.
And the finale – BOOM, indoor fireworks.
They look good yes.
Just you wait – read on, read on!!!
Lunch-time.
Holy crap is that the biggest pizza you have ever seen.
Looks like a pizza cart-wheel.
Here’s the girls and Amy about to take a monster bite from the monster pizza.
Big focus on Sesame Street as you can see – even to these little cakes of Elmo and Cookie Monster.
Hold on a minute.
Do I detect a certain resemblance…
Maybe not – this one wears lipstick too – ha ha!
Eat it not wear it babe.
Then look who we bumped in to.
Big, fat and hairy – no no no not me, it was Cookie Monster.
Strange he seems to be part of the family.
A quick trip to the Sesame Street shop and 3 eye-ball hats later!!!
I just have to take this picture for Amy – yes this one does happen every time.
Her request.
The poor guy in Madegascar with only one shoe.
Another naughty – in the ride photo – on Madegascar Ride.
What do these two do…?
They say – “If you have poo, fling it now!!!”
Then you get squirted with water – very funny.
King and Queen of the merry-go-round.
These next ones are a classic.
Amy and I go on to the Enchanted Express ride and again a little naughty but I thought I would try to get some pictures of Amy’s ‘experience’ of the ride – sort of fly on the wall style.
So here we are before the ride started. She’s ready to go.
And we’re off – weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Waterworld stunt spectacular.
Jet skis, water-skis, guns, explosions, air-plans, fire – phew!!!
Here is The Mariner – stunt jump just as it all blows up.
The seaplane gets shot down – huge explosion as it lands and then blows up.
What’s that song – “This girl is on fire!”
OK OK – this is a bloke – but hey say principal applies, as he is indeed on fire.
Final few seconds of the show – BOOM – the place explodes in a fireball.
We can’t come without doing Dino-souring.
You know that.
Amy’s used to be favourite ride – one time I think we went 5 times in a row.
Now just the one time as she is more in to the other big rides.
Puss-in-Boots says hi again.
Good job Amy and Ollie aren’t allergic to cats, man he’s big!!!
Imagine the litter box or the fur ball this one would cough up.
This was uber cool.
A robot raptor controlled by someone that you could not see, so it really did look like a real captive dinosaur.
Look at him staring at Ollie – yummy.
Back to Sesame Street.
My mate Mr Paul Coleman at the far end of the street – “Hello Big Bird!”
The king and Queen come back again.
Check out her below.
Yes she is waving to people as she goes round.
Like the Queen on her horse for Trooping of the Colour.
“My subjects, My Subjects…”
Nearly at a wrap now.
Lot’s of other things done, rides ridden, soakings – but now time for dinner.
I spotted a special offer at one of the restaurants inside – fireworks dinner special.
Righto we’ll have some of that – again back to blog for National Day – how poor were they.
So upstairs we go for dinner. A delicious steak joint modelled on a 1950’s NYC restaurant. Food was, I have to say, bloody good for Western You know me and my dislike for Western food in Singapore – this was actually really really good.
A wee wander to the private balcony and hey presto here’s the view. Still light at 7pm – but watch on and read on – quite amazingly we watched the fireworks at 8pm from the private balcony – so close you could almost touch them and the smells and smoke – wow. Some of best fireworks I have ever experienced. I think we should have the next National Day here – call it Universal Day.
Far Far Away Castle looking beautiful in the setting sun.
The ride to the right (the red thing) is Enchanted Airways – the one above where Amy is going weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
She is a beautiful little thing isn’t she.
8pm kicks in the castle keeps changing colour.
How beautiful is that!
And then – get ready for your ooooohs and aaaaahhhhhhss.
This was brilliant!!!
Can you see how close these are.
They are literally all going off from a floating platform in the lake in the middle.
This is Amy favourite – yep rainbow!
Amy called these ones Spinning Rain.
You can see why!!!
And the finish! Bloody brilliant! Nicely done Universal – great food experience.
We’ll be back for that again, that’s for certain!
One more goodbye.
Amy still hungry it seems trying to munch on the cookie.
