Hire car – check. We now have mobility, so let’s spin to Canterbury. Only a couple of shots here as it was a whistle-stop tour of buying wedding presents and cards, then a wee shop for a few essentials whilst the UK Summer Sales are on and then a dash to have some lunch beforeRead More

A hybrid – Birthday, House-Warmer, Fund-Raiser for Tabitha. We ended up $1200 richer for Tabitha – Roy Boy burning aRead More

It’s that time again. 30 days has expired since we last got Mary and Jude back with us. Thanks to ICA they have to go again, but this time we all go. A bit of an adventure. Something different. We caught a luxury coach to Melacca. What fun it was. A long old trip butRead More

Another sunny weekend in our Siglap paradise

June 9, 2014
[zilla_likes]

Nothing really major to report this week, just a lovely relaxing weekend at home. A pop for breakfast, swimming pools, a watch of the rugby, the usual hawker trip, some very heavy rain, but most importantly just quality family times. Ollie looks like something from The Blues Brothers with those goggles on – almost likeRead More

Many chill out weekends of late at our new place. That gives me time to cook and create, but not too many ‘unique’ photos of the gang. So I have saved up a few weeks to show these ones off. Hope you enjoy! So baby Jude continues his forays in to the world of solidRead More

What to do? It is Labour Day and therefore a public holiday in Singapore. What to do? How about we have a few people over to pool party and BBQ? That sounds like a grand plan Brian. So Adrian and Kondia, the Rutherford’s, Mr Clark, JT and some Anakis family all came over. So offRead More

[zilla_likes]

Oh my gosh my beautiful girl turns 6 years old. Where have the years gone.  She is still my best friend, my companion, the one who makes me laugh constantly, the one who uses “Dad” 450,000 times a day, the one who loves to sing – now in her own bathroom, and now “Let ItRead More

She calls our name and we come running, We have lost the voice we listened to, And there's a stillness now the rains stopped falling, And there's a sadness like we never knew, But we still see the shining of things. We love and miss you desperately Ni.

About Brian

I have worked in Telecommunications pretty much all my life, with good fortune to have worked literally across the world with amazing colleagues and clients from Sao Paulo, to Chicago, to LA, to UK, Europe and most recently to South East Asia and Australia.

I love to cook and to write and again for many years now have been writing a food blog, constantly morphing. I have also written a cook book for charitable reasons. I now also write a column for EXMag.sg a men's magazine with a focus on food - recipes and reviews. I do this under the tag-name of Semi-Naked Chef.

I am very focused at charitable work and CSR - having visited Cambodia 6 years running now to build houses on stilts for the less fortunate people there.

I have 3 kids - 2 half-Japanese and 1 half-Filipino.
