Mummy kept a diary for both of the kids and I wanted to put some of those words down here to keep. So Ollie this is for you from Mummy, and shows how much she loved and thought of you. But before I type that I also found some sheets of paper from Ollie. IRead More

Well how proud am I of this little one. A budding musician in the making it seems. Nearly 12 months now, so we have birthday party plans for her – Go Go Bambinis with a load of her little mates. She’ll love it as she is virtually walking now and loves to play in allRead More

Quite amazing really. My Mum, in the Chinese restaurant pic, reminded me of these pictures that I had stored on my work PC not the Mac where I do all my blog and Facebook from.  These photos are from their trip in November. Placing these on is a very sad one for me, as weRead More

As you can see Nina was as usual absolutely beautiful, and very sexy in this little number. Yes the guy withe huge affro is indeed me. This was our very goodRead More

Sometimes you have good days, and today was good.  Check out baby Amy for one of her first stands, very proud of her. She will 100% be walking before she is one I think, just a shame her mum is not here to see all this happening. She is such a beautiful little thing, andRead More

Yet again my lovely boy Oliver has amazed me. I was speaking (via SMS) to his teacher, Miss Atima, to make sure all was OK with him at school and with his homework. He has a disco tonight so wanted to make sure he was OK. I receive the following back from Atima, which hasRead More

Yesterday was an interesting day for me, as it was the first business trip I have had to do away from the kids since Ni left us. Bit of a panicky couple of days, but actually Ollie and Amy were fine. Usual thing though of something happening when I was away the fridge packed upRead More

I have to say this one took some doing. Very emotional experience creating this, and I just hope it does the lovely girl justice, because she truly is just so beautiful. These are some of my favourite photos and moments from trips or just fun with friends. She looks amazing as will be the wayRead More

Sorry for the lack of the crazy video clip but I need to convert old video films to digital and get those to YouTube now. How things have changed in 14 years. But here we used to have a video of Nina speaking and being really silly with Ollie and me. It was a keeperRead More

She calls our name and we come running, We have lost the voice we listened to, And there's a stillness now the rains stopped falling, And there's a sadness like we never knew, But we still see the shining of things. We love and miss you desperately Ni.

About Brian

I have worked in Telecommunications pretty much all my life, with good fortune to have worked literally across the world with amazing colleagues and clients from Sao Paulo, to Chicago, to LA, to UK, Europe and most recently to South East Asia and Australia.

I love to cook and to write and again for many years now have been writing a food blog, constantly morphing. I have also written a cook book for charitable reasons. I now also write a column for EXMag.sg a men's magazine with a focus on food - recipes and reviews. I do this under the tag-name of Semi-Naked Chef.

I am very focused at charitable work and CSR - having visited Cambodia 6 years running now to build houses on stilts for the less fortunate people there.

I have 3 kids - 2 half-Japanese and 1 half-Filipino.
